CUET UG lets you take up to 5 subjects. Each subject is 50 questions / 250 marks.

How it works

Two ways to get your score — pick whichever is easier.

Option 1 · Manual

Type your answers

Add each subject you took, enter how many you got right and wrong, and your score updates live with the official CUET marking scheme.

  • Add subjects — pick from the full CUET list.
  • Enter counts — correct and incorrect per subject.
  • See your total — per-subject and combined, instantly.
Option 2 · Exact (NTA files)

Upload your NTA response sheet + answer key

Save both NTA pages and drop them in. We match every question by its ID and grade your chosen option against the official key — an exact score, with skipped questions counted correctly.

  • Save both pages — your Response Sheet and the official Answer Key (Ctrl/Cmd + S).
  • Drop them in — together or one at a time; we ask for whichever is missing.
  • Exact breakdown — correct / incorrect / skipped auto-fills; edit any row.

CUET scoring questions

How CUET marks are calculated, and what this tool shows.

How is the CUET UG score calculated?
Each correct answer earns +5 marks, each incorrect answer loses −1 mark, and unattempted questions score 0. Every subject has 50 questions, so the maximum per subject is 250 marks.
What is the maximum CUET score?
Per subject it’s 250 (50 questions × 5). A candidate can take up to 5 subjects, so the maximum total is 1250. This calculator totals whichever subjects you add.
Is the percentile shown official?
No. Your raw score is exact, but the percentile is a rough estimate only. NTA computes the real percentile by normalising scores across multiple sessions using a formula that isn’t published, so no tool can reproduce it precisely.
How do I get an exact score from my NTA files?
You need two NTA pages: your Response Sheet (shows the option you chose for each question) and the official Answer Key (shows the correct option). Open each on the NTA portal, save it with Ctrl/Cmd + S as an .html file, and drop both into the upload box. We match every question by its Question ID and compare your chosen option to the correct one — giving an exact correct / incorrect / skipped count. The answer key publishes after the exam, so you can drop your response sheet now and add the key later.
Is there negative marking in CUET?
Yes — every wrong answer is −1 mark. That’s why leaving a question blank (0) is better than a wild guess if you’re unsure. This calculator factors negative marking in automatically.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — your answer-key file is read locally and never sent to any server.
